We at ELMED have produced the newly developed content sensor especially for connecting to controllers made by other manufacturers.
Initially the big challenge was the lifespan of the sensor element. We overcame this by separating the medium from the sensor. Due to the high resolution of the in-built digital sensor, an integrated μController makes it possible to determine the content of the tank to the highest degree of accuracy. It is fitted to the top horizontal section of the tank. A stainless steel tube allows the level to be ascertained to just above the floor of the tank. The probe is maintenance free and can be retrofitted to any tank.
Furthermore, the output signal has been developed in such a way as to be compatible with conventional controllers and is available with current/voltage output. The controller is connected via a 2-lead system with 4 - 20 mA current loop / 0 - 5 V.
